Old Town Hall and Opera House

This two story historical brick structure was constructed in 1892 and is home to several theatric productions each year.

SC Cotton Museum

Come visit us and see our Plantation Spinner (one of only seven in the United States), our 130 year old loom, and our three foot tall Boll Weevil. Many examples of machinery ranging from our mule-drawn culitvator to our Cessna Ag-Wagon crop duster are housed in our 12,000 square foot building along with a tenement farm-house mock up and modern spinners and looms.

 

 

 SC Tobacco Museum

The City of Mullins sprang from the growing, harvesting and selling of tobacco beginning in 1894. Proving that tobacco and farm life was the life-blood of the community, Mullins grew to become the largest tobacco market in South Carolina at one time. The Museum, which opened in August 1998, focuses on the growing of tobacco and rural farm life prior to 1950.

 

 

 Darlington Raceway

Darlington Raceway, NASCAR's original paved super speedway, hosts the Diamond Hill Plywood 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series Race and Dodge Challenger 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race, with all events run under the lights. Adjacent to the Raceway is an expanded Darlington Raceway Stock Car Museum, which houses a large collection of stock cars, including those driven to victory by Richard Petty, Bill Elliott, David Pearson and others.

 

 

Carolina Amphitheatre

Situated right off of Rt. 501 S, the 250 acre, Carolina Entertainment Complex is located southeast of the City of Marion, between Myrtle Beach and Florence, in the "heart of the low country" of beautiful South Carolina.

 

 

McCleod Farms and Festival

Feel free to linger on the porch, cooled by ceiling fans and relax in a rocking chair. In addition to seasonal strawberries, blackberries, peaches and vegetables, the market boasts baked goods made from fresh farm produce, pickles, jams, preserves and ice cream. Strawberry season begins in April and peach season in early June. Be sure to attend the annual Strawberry Festival in May, the Peach Festival in June and the Pumpkin Festival in October.

 

 

 Pecan Festival

The Pecan Festival is an award-winning community event held annually in downtown Florence. The all day event is packed with arts & crafts, a variety of vendors, exciting kids' activities, mouth-watering food and entertainment of all kinds throughout the day.

Florence Little Theater

Florence Little Theatre is located at 417 S. Dargan Street in Florence, SC. FLT is the most ambitious and technically up-to-date theatre anywhere in the southeast. FLT has been providing entertainment excellence since 1923.

 

 

Byerly Park  and Recreation Complex

This 93-acre multi-use recreation complex features six soccer fields, four softball/baseball fields, a one-fourth-mile eight-lane track and field facility, picnic area, concessions (during special events/tournaments) and two playgrounds. Future plans call for the addition of four youth softball/baseball fields, two youth football fields, walking/jogging/biking trails and six tennis courts.

 

 

Williamsburg County Art Gallery

Victorian-era buildings feature revolving art exhibits in downtown Kingstree.

 

 

Coker Farms Fall Festival

Coker Experimental Farms and its parent company, Coker's Pedigreed Seed Company, founded in the early 1900s by David R. Coker, developed new, improved varieties of crop seeds. They also developed the first cotton breeding program in the US. Exhibits depicting the company's impact on Southern agriculture are housed in a replica of the site's original dairy barn. Self-guided interpretive exhibits are open from 9am - 6pm daily. Annual Fall Festival features a corn maze, antique tractor show, hay rides and hot dogs and ice cream!

 

Living History at the Kelley House

Interpreters dressed in period clothing present a Confederate Memorial Service, dramatization and 21-gun salute at the Jacob Kelley House. Includes tours of the typical 19th-century southern farmhouse which was occupied by Union troops during the War Between the States.
